Zelma M. Miles
Zelma Marie (Moore) Miles of Bridgeton, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. 
She was 77.
She was born April 26, 1924 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Victor and Bertha (Moore) Moore. 
She was married Oct. 15, 1949 in Perryville to Orin H. Miles, who preceded her in death Aug. 3, 1968.
Survivors include one son, John Edward Miles of Bridgeton; two sisters, Alma Valleroy of St. Louis and 
Mae C. Buchheit of Perryville; 14 nephews; and 14 nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Henry Moore, Roy Moore, Earl Moore, 
Raymond Moore, and Bernard Moore; and five sisters, Stella Mason, Magdalen Zahner, Alzada Hardekoph, 
Ellen Mothershead, and Edna Moore.
Mrs. Miles was retired from assembly line work at Alco Control. She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic 
Church.
The family prefers memorials to be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
The funeral Mass was held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in 
Perryville with the Rev. Arthur Trapp, C.M. officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
