Perry County Missouri Republic Monitor Published on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 8:55 AM CDT Philomena Toye Philomena Helen Toye of Braintree, Mass. died Thursday, March 31, 2005 at the home of her nephew, Ralph Toye, with whom she resided. She was 95. She was born Feb. 3, 1910 in Apple Creek, the daughter of the late Henry and Theresia (Bear) Buchheit. She was married May 21, 1949 to Ralph B. Toye, who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2001. Survivors include four sisters, Rose Buerck and Laura Buerck, both of St. Louis, Jean Zoellner of Perryville and Mary Ann Rellergert of Apple Creek; three brothers, August Buchheit of Apple Creek, Edgar Buchheit of Jackson and Urban Buchheit of St. Louis and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, John Toye, infant daughter, sisters, Anna Welker and Gertrude Welker, and brothers, Lou Buchheit and Tony Buchheit. Mrs. Toye was a seamstress. She was a member of the Church of St. Thomas Moore, Ladies Sodality, Braintree Senior Citizens and the Council of the Aging. The funeral Mass was held at 9 a.m. at the Church of St. Thomas Moore. Burial was in the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, Mass. Arrangements were made by Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home in Braintree, Mass. Attending the funeral from Perryville were her sisters, Jean Zoellner and Mary Ann Rellergert and niece, Lavern Henneke.
