OBITUARY: RUTH COUGHENOUR Ruth Tayman Coughenour, 88, of Continental No. 1, died in the Uniontown Hospital Wednesday, May 8, 1985 at 3 p.m. She was a member of the Magaret E. Coven Shrine No. 42 of Pennsylvania and the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and had been a Lutheran by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine Herman Tayman; her husband, George W. Coughenour, in 1962; and two sons, Forrest and Paul Coughenour. Surviving are one son, Alvin E. Coughenour of Uniontown; one daughter, Mrs. Adam (Charlotte) Buchheit of Uniontown R.D. 4; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a niece, Kathryn Pfeiffer of Indiana, Pa.; and one nephew, Clarence Tayman of New York. Friends were received in the Jerome W. Shell Funeral Home, 164 S. Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, where services were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Alvin K. Smith officiating. Interment, Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
