Zada LaRue Buhite, 87, of R.D. 3, Ford City (Burrell Township), Pa., died 
Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at 12:45 a.m. in the Kittanning Care Center, R.D. 1, 
Kittanning. Born July 29, 1911, in Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong County, 
Pa., a daughter of the late Alvin B. Rearick and Matilda Bierer Rearick 
Smail, she was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church at Brick Church 
and Marshall Grange 539. She and her husband owned and operated a family 
owned farm in Burrell Township for many years. She was preceded in death 
by her husband, Edward P. Buhite, on Nov. 5, 1978; an infant daughter, 
Cheryl Ann Buhite; an infant granddaughter, Vicki Yantos; six brothers, 
Reuben, Grant, Norman, Jonas and Alvin Rearick, and George Rearick in 
infancy, and two sisters, Cora Rearick and Lottie Reefer. Surviving are 
two sons, William C. Buhite, Rural Valley, Pa., and Ronald E. Buhite, 
Fredericksburg, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Betty J.) Woodside, 
R.D. 3, Ford City, Pa.; Doris A. Yantos, Beaver Falls, and Joyce E. 
Heckman, Grove City, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. 
Friends will be welcomed today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the CLARK 
CHAPEL OF ELDERTON, 238 Main St., Elderton, Pa. Funeral ceremonies will 
be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Clark Chapel of Elderton, with the 
Rev. Lewis Messinger, of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, officiating. 
Interment will be in St. Michael's Lutheran Cemetery at Brick Church, 
Burrell Township, Armstrong County, Pa. The family suggests that memorial 
contributions be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, R.D. 1, Ford 
City, Pa. 16226. Arrangements are by Clark Chapel of Elderton.
