Perry County Republic (Jan/2/2004) Nicholas Rainey Nicholas Kent Rainey of Washington, Ind., died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003. He was 18. He was born Jan. 30, 1985 in Washington, Ind., the son of Bradley and Michele (Buchheit) Rainey of Washington, Ind. Other survivors include two brothers, Nathanial L. (Brandi) Rainey and Nolan B. V. Rainey, both of Washington, Ind.; grandparents, Garland and Donna Gentry of Washington, Ind., Jack and Linda Rainey of Bedford, Ind., and Linus and Bernetta Buchheit of Washington, Ind., formerly of Perryville; and great-grandparents, Virgil and Ruth Rainey of Bedford, Ind. Mr. Rainey was a student at Vincennes University. He was a member of Harvest Community Fellowship, Linked 180 Youth Group, Souled Out Ministries, and Teens for Life. He was a 2003 graduate of Washington High School in Washington, Ind. The family prefers memorials to be made to the Nick Rainey Memorial Fund which will be used to benefit the Powerhouse Souled Out Ministries and Daviess County Right to Life, P.O. Box 518, Washington, Ind., 47501. The funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28 at the Washington High School Auditorium in Washington, Ind., with the Rev. Maury Brenneman and Rev. Dean Lengacher officiating. Burial was in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Gill Funeral Home in Washington, Ind., provided the arrangements.
